How to Find the Nearest Dubai Metro Station
The fastest way is the locator at the top of this page. Tap "Use My Location", allow location access when your browser asks, and you'll see the six closest metro stations sorted by distance, each with an estimated walking time and a one-tap link to Google Maps walking directions. Everything is calculated on your device, so your location never leaves your browser.
If you'd rather not share your location, use the area guide above. It covers the neighbourhoods people search for most, from Downtown and Deira to the Marina and Expo City. You can also browse the full station directory or the interactive metro map.
What if the nearest station is still far away?
Dubai is a spread-out city, and some districts sit a fair distance from the metro. Areas like Jumeirah, Al Quoz, Mirdif, and Jumeirah Village Circle have no station within easy walking distance yet. In those cases, check the feeder bus routes, which are timed to connect residential areas with the nearest metro station on the same Nol card. The Blue Line, opening in 2029, will bring the metro to Mirdif, Dubai Silicon Oasis, and Dubai Creek Harbour; you can read more in our Blue Line guide.
Planning the rest of your journey
Once you know your starting station, use the route planner to map the full trip and the fare calculator to see exactly what it will cost with your Nol card. Trains run frequently through the day; see the metro timings page for first and last train times on each line.
Good to know
- The Red and Green Lines interchange at Union and BurJuman, so you can reach any station on the network from any other with at most one transfer.
- The Dubai Tram serves the Marina and JBR and connects with the metro at DMCC and Sobha Realty stations. See our tram connections guide.
- Many stations have paid and free parking nearby if you plan to park and ride. Details are in the parking guide.
- Several stations have been renamed under sponsorship deals (for example, Al Rashidiya is now Centrepoint). Station pages list former names, so you can still find a station by the name you know.
