Guest Post Guidelines
Dubai Metro Rails helps commuters, expats, and visitors get around Dubai. If you know the city and have something practical to share, we would like to hear from you. Please read this page before you send a pitch.
What we publish
We publish articles about the Dubai Metro, Nol cards, RTA services, station guides, and travel around the UAE. We also accept pieces on expat life, culture, and lifestyle when they connect to living or commuting in Dubai.
Firsthand experience, original data, and specific tips do best with us. Articles should still be useful a year from now, so avoid anything that will date quickly.
What we do not accept
- Topics with no link to Dubai, UAE travel, or transport
- Articles already published elsewhere, including on your own site
- AI-written or spun text
- Gambling, adult, or misleading content
- Articles written mainly to promote a product or to carry a link
Article requirements
- Length. 1,000 to 2,000 words. Tell us in your pitch if your topic needs more or less.
- Structure. Clear H2 and H3 headings, short paragraphs, and takeaways a reader can use.
- Accuracy. Check fares, timings, and rules against RTA sources before you send your article.
- Keywords. Use them where they fit naturally. We reject keyword stuffing.
- Images. Only send images you have the right to use, and include alt text for each one.
Link policy
Each accepted guest post includes one do-follow link to your website or LinkedIn profile, placed in your author bio at the end of the article. We may allow extra links in the article if they help the reader and are not promotional.
We do not pay contributors, and contributors do not pay us for a do-follow link.
Sponsored posts
If you are paying for placement, or offering anything else of value in return for it, the article is a sponsored post. External links in sponsored posts use rel="sponsored", as search engines require, and these links do not count as do-follow. Please tell us upfront if your pitch is sponsored.
How to submit
- Email your proposed title and a short outline to dubaimetrorails@gmail.com.
- We review every pitch within 5 to 7 business days.
- If we approve your pitch, you have 2 to 3 weeks to send the finished article.
- Publication usually follows within another 2 to 3 weeks.
Please send a short author bio and the link you want included along with your article.
Republishing
Your article must be original and unpublished when you send it. After 30 days of exclusive publication on dubaimetrorails.com, you can republish it on your own site with a canonical tag and attribution pointing back to us.
