Overview of the Dubai Metro Green Line
The Dubai Metro Green Line is one of two main metro lines in Dubai's rail network, running through the heart of Deira and Bur Dubai. The line has 20 stations stretching from e& (formerly Etisalat by the Creek) in Al Qusais to Creek station near Dubai Creek.
Unlike the Red Line, which runs along Sheikh Zayed Road and serves the newer parts of the city, the Green Line focuses on the older, more established districts. It passes through areas like Al Qusais, Al Nahda, Deira, the Gold Souq district, Al Fahidi, and Al Jadaf. The line is heavily used by residents and visitors heading to traditional markets, healthcare facilities, and the cultural landmarks around Dubai Creek.
The Green Line connects to the Red Line at two interchange stations: Union in Deira and BurJuman in Bur Dubai. It will also connect to the upcoming Blue Line at Creek station when that line opens in 2029.

| Saturday - Wednesday | 5:00 AM | Midnight |

During Ramadan and public holidays, RTA may adjust these hours. Check the RTA website for the latest schedule updates.
Fare Zones on the Green Line
The Green Line passes through two fare zones. Stations from e& through Union fall in Zone 5, while stations from Al Gubaiba through Creek are in Zone 6. When your journey stays within one zone, you pay the lowest fare. Crossing into another zone increases the fare.
If you transfer to the Red Line at Union or BurJuman, the total fare is calculated based on the zones you travel through across both lines, not per line. Use our Fare Calculator to check fares for specific journeys.
Interchange Stations
Two stations on the Green Line serve as interchange points with the Red Line. These are the busiest stations on the Green Line and handle large volumes of transferring passengers.

Green Line and Red Line interchange in Deira
Union is a major transfer hub located in the Deira district. Passengers can switch between the Green Line and the Red Line here. The station serves as a gateway to Deira's commercial areas and connects to multiple bus routes.

- For journeys to Sheikh Zayed Road, Burj Khalifa, or Dubai Marina, transfer to the Red Line at Union or BurJuman.

- The Women and Children cabin is located at the front of each train. Gold Class is at the front of the first car.
