About Us
Dubai Metro Rails is a free guide to help you get around Dubai by metro, whether it’s your first time or your daily commute.
What This Site Is
Dubai Metro is one of the best ways to get around the city. Fast, affordable, and air-conditioned. But if you’re new to it, a few things are worth knowing before you tap in: which line to take, which zone you’re travelling through, how much to load on your Nol card, and which exit saves you a long walk.
This site covers all of that. Station guides, fare information, travel tips, and updates on the network. Written to be easy to read and quick to find what you need, whether you’re planning ahead or already on your way.

What We Actually Do
Cut Through the Confusion
80+ km of track, two lines, dozens of fare zones. It’s a lot. We take that complexity and break it down into the kind of clear guidance you’d get from a friend who already knows the city.
Practical, Rider-Tested Tips
Which carriages are quieter during rush hour, which exits save you a 10-minute walk, when Gold Class is worth it. The kind of things you pick up from riding regularly.
Keep It Current
Fares change. Stations get renamed. New lines are coming. We keep this site updated so you’re not relying on information that was accurate two years ago but isn’t anymore.
What You’ll Find Here
Station-by-station guides. Not just a name and a map pin, but what’s actually around each station: where to eat, what to see, how far the walk really is to the landmark you’re heading to.
Nol card and fare breakdowns. Card types, zone pricing, how to avoid overpaying, and what happens if your card runs out mid-journey.
Route planner. Find the fastest way between two stations, including interchange points and estimated travel times.
Travel guides and tips. Peak hour reality, which connections are smooth and which ones need patience, and what first-timers get wrong most often.
Blue Line and expansion updates. As Dubai’s network grows, we cover what’s changing, what’s confirmed, and what’s still being figured out.
How We Keep It Useful
When something changes (a fare update, a station name, a new connection) we update the page. We want everything here to be accurate and current so you can rely on it before and during your trip.
We write for the person planning their first metro ride, and equally for the daily commuter who just wants a quick answer. Straightforward, to the point, and useful.
What’s Coming Next
We’re working on better journey planning tools, smarter fare comparisons, and deeper accessibility guides for people with mobility needs. The Blue Line expansion also means a lot of new content to build out as confirmed details emerge.
A lot of what we build comes from questions real users send us. If there’s something you can’t find or something that confused you, that’s useful to hear. It usually means others are stuck on the same thing.
Get in Touch
Got a question, spotted an error, or want to suggest something? We read every email and respond to as many as we can.
Rode the metro recently? Have a tip or a story to share? Share your experience and help other travellers make the most of their journey.
A Note of Thanks
