Dubai Metro to Dubai Creek Harbour: Route and What to Do

How to reach Dubai Creek Harbour by metro with route options, fare and top things to do.
Dubai Creek Harbour sits on the eastern side of the city, which means the Green Line is your main metro tool for getting close. The nearest useful station is Union, and from there a short taxi ride finishes the trip.
Creek Harbour is still developing, so it does not have a dedicated metro stop yet. That said, the combination of Green Line and taxi is quick, and the area is genuinely worth the short extra effort.
Recommended options
Creek Beach
Sandy beach with creek and skyline views
A quieter alternative to JBR with good water views and a relaxed atmosphere. Best in the morning before heat peaks, or late afternoon for sunset.
Creek Harbour Dining Strip
Waterfront restaurants and cafes along the promenade
A growing strip of dining options that works well for an evening out. The promenade is walkable and the ambience is calmer than Downtown dining areas.
Dubai Creek Tower Site
Planned landmark tower, currently under development
The tower site is still under construction but the plaza area gives you a feel for what this district is becoming. Worth a visit if you are already at Creek Harbour.
Getting there
Take the Green Line to Union station (station code G9). Union is also a Red Line interchange, so you can reach it easily from the airport, Downtown, or Marina. From Union, book a Careem or take a taxi to Dubai Creek Harbour. The drive takes around 10 to 15 minutes.
From Airport T3, the journey is Red Line to Union, then taxi. Total cost including taxi is roughly AED 30-40. From Downtown (Union is a few stops on the Green Line), the metro fare alone is AED 3 and the taxi adds AED 20-25.
If you are coming from Deira or Bur Dubai, you may already be on the Green Line, which makes the connection even simpler.
- Green Line to Union station is your best metro option
- Taxi from Union takes 10-15 minutes
- No direct metro stop at Creek Harbour yet
What to do when you arrive
Creek Beach is the main draw for most visitors. It is a relatively uncrowded sandy beach compared to JBR, and the water views across the creek toward older Dubai are genuinely good.
The dining strip along the waterfront is worth exploring in the evening. A mix of casual and restaurant options sits along the promenade, and the whole area is walkable once you are there.
The Dubai Creek Tower site is still under development, but even from the surrounding plaza area you get a sense of the scale and the longer term vision for the district.
Best time to visit
Sunset is the best time to visit Creek Harbour for photos. The light on the water and the city skyline in the background makes for some of the better urban shots in Dubai.
Weekday evenings are less crowded than weekends. Morning visits to Creek Beach work well for families who want the sand before the afternoon heat peaks.
- Sunset gives the best light for photography
- Evening dining strip is best visited after 6pm
- Weekday mornings are quieter for Creek Beach
Practical tips
Save a Careem or Uber destination before you arrive at Union station so you are not trying to type the address in a busy interchange.
Creek Harbour is still a construction zone in parts, so some routes on foot may be blocked. Stick to the main promenade and beach areas for now.
