What is Park & Ride?

Dubai's Park & Ride system lets you drive to a designated metro station, park your car for free, and take the Dubai Metro to your destination. It's an excellent way to avoid traffic and save on fuel, especially during peak hours. All you need is a valid Nol card with sufficient balance.

How Park & Ride Works

  1. Drive to one of the three Park & Ride metro stations
  2. Tap your Nol card at the parking entry barrier
  3. Park your car in the designated multi-storey car park
  4. Take the metro to your destination (tap in and tap out as normal)
  5. Return to the car park and tap your Nol card at the exit barrier
  6. The system verifies your metro usage and lets you exit for free

Frequently Asked Questions

Is parking free at Dubai Metro stations?
Yes, parking is completely free for Dubai Metro passengers at the three designated Park & Ride stations (Centrepoint, Jebel Ali, and e&). You must validate your Nol card at both the parking entry and exit barriers, and use the metro during your parking period. Non-metro users are charged AED 10 per hour (maximum AED 50 per day).
Which Dubai Metro stations have parking?
Three stations currently have multi-storey Park & Ride parking facilities: Centrepoint Metro Station (Red Line), Jebel Ali Metro Station (Red Line), and e& Metro Station (Green Line). These offer thousands of free parking spaces for metro commuters.
Can I leave my car overnight at a Metro parking station?
No. Overnight parking is not permitted at Dubai Metro Park & Ride facilities. Vehicles left overnight may be subject to fines or towing. The parking is intended for daily metro commuters only.
How do I validate my Nol card for free parking?
When you enter the car park, tap your Nol card at the entry barrier. This registers your arrival. After your metro journey, return to the car park and tap your Nol card at the exit barrier. The system verifies that you used the metro during your parking period and allows you to exit for free.
What happens if I don't validate my Nol card at the parking barrier?
If you fail to validate your Nol card, you will be charged as a non-metro user at AED 10 per hour, with a daily maximum cap of AED 50. Always tap your Nol card at both entry and exit to ensure free parking.
Can I use any Nol card for Park & Ride?
Yes, all Nol card types (Red ticket, Silver, Gold, Blue, and Personal) can be used at Park & Ride facilities. Just ensure your card has sufficient balance for your metro fare and tap it at the parking barriers.
Are there any plans to add more Park & Ride stations?
RTA has indicated that the upcoming Dubai Metro Blue Line will include Park & Ride facilities at several suburban stations, including those in Dubai South and Dubai Investment Park. This will significantly expand parking availability for metro commuters.
